Roles wake one by one. Killers pick a door, the Doctor races to save a life, the Watcher hides in the bushes.

02 — MORNING

The gazette arrives

Read who didn't wake up. The Grim Reaper rises from the well and drags the bodies away.

03 — DAY

Talk, accuse, vote

Compare stories, catch the lies and vote someone to the gallows. Choose wrong and the killer walks free.

The roles

The host chooses which roles are in play from the board in the lobby.

Innocents

Find the killers and vote them out.

  • VillagerNo special power; fights with their vote.
  • WatcherHides behind a house and sees who enters it.
  • DoctorWakes after the killers; can bring a stabbed victim back to life.
  • DetectiveInspects a sleeper: one of two roles shown is real.
  • PoliceCuffs someone for the night; they can't act or be attacked.
  • LocksmithLocks a door; nobody can get in that night.
  • GravediggerLearns the killer's color for every death.

Killers

Eliminate the town without getting caught.

  • KillerStabs a sleeper in a house every night.
  • PoisonerTheir victim dies in the middle of the next day's debate.

  • Roles are now pinned on the board in the lobby — walk up to it to open the Role Book.
  • Your role is revealed for 2 seconds at the start of a match.
  • The main menu now shows a notice during server maintenance.
  • Improved game protection and performance.
